From November 25 to 27, 2025, telecom leaders gathered in Bangkok for TM Forum Innovate Asia 2025, a flagship event focused on how AI and automation are reshaping networks and business models across the region.
SynaXG joined TM Forum as the AI-RAN platform partner in the Catalyst project “Project AURA (AI-RAN)”, working alongside StarHub, Etisalat UAE, CelcomDigi, OREX SAI and Red Hat. The joint project demonstrates how operators can move from connectivity to AI-first, revenue-generating infrastructure at the network edge.
What Project AURA Demonstrates
Project AURA builds an AI-powered blueprint for next-generation AI-RAN and edge services. The vision combines:
- AI-for-RAN – using AI to power the RAN itself, delivering energy savings, interference cancellation and link adaptation to boost performance and reduce OpEx.
- AI-on-RAN – running edge AI applications such as Robotic Inspection, video analytics and drone orchestration, with training and inference at the edge to enable new services and revenue streams.
- OSS/BSS + Edge AI – exposing network intelligence and open APIs so operators can launch differentiated digital services, not just sell basic connectivity.
The project aims to monetize network intelligence and show how telcos can evolve into AI-first infrastructure providers using open platforms and edge intelligence.
In this Catalyst, SynaXG provides the AI-RAN software stack:
- Our Layer 1, Layer 2 and Layer 3 software runs on a unified cloud-native platform built on Red Hat OpenShift.
- The same platform runs 5G FR1/FR2 workloads (CU/DU, etc.) and AI workloads such as large models, Vision AI and AI-for-RAN functions.
- This proves that AI and RAN can run together on shared hardware, a key architectural step toward 6G-ready, AI-native networks.
Project AURA gives SynaXG a powerful proof point AI-RAN is real, it scales, and it is already attracting strong interest from operators and partners. Our next step is to turn this Catalyst into live deployments that let telcos, hyperscalers and enterprises monetize AI and edge intelligence on top of their 5G networks.
